No Helsingborg stop for Emerald Princess today

Recommended Posts

We're in the middle of a storm, probably the remnants of the one that hit us yesterday in Copenhagen, so the crew says it's too rough to tender. There has been some suggestion from the crew that we may instead get an unscheduled stop somewhere else on our other sea day or a longer stay in our next port of call (Oslo). Does anyone have any experience with this? Are we likely to make another extra stop?

Hi

Sorry to hear this, will all depend on what is available ships berths get booked years in advance,

but some times you will get extra time or an extra port, you have a good captain

We missed a port on our last transatlantic. Princess managed to get us into Hamburg the afternoon before we were suppose to dock. Probably will depend on dock availability.

Just got home from this cruise. We were disappointed that we missed Helsingborg but it was a bad storm for sure. Thankfully the weather in Oslo the next day was absolutely gorgeous!

Our first cruise sailing with Princess and it was a great experience:)

I was on your cruise and could not understand why, after missing out Helsingborg, we arrived and departed at the stated times for Oslo.]

No extra stop for us then!!

I can only think they were saving fuel by reducing the speed.

Still, we did get the $18 port charges credited back to our accounts.

Regards the reason for missing - Safety is always a priority.
