Athens Demonstrations for November 17, 2009

Hello,

we will be traveling on the Solstice and will be in Athens on Tuesday November 17th, 2009. I have seen references in various posts to be aware of some demonstrations that will be taking place that day.

 

I am interested in some information about what these demonstrations are and how they may affect traffic (taxi, metro etc) and how they may affect the typical tourist spots (crowds, closings) etc.
