Help.........Question??

Hi everyone, I have what might be a stupid question. My boyfriend and I booked 3 rooms on IOS in March 2010. What I want to know is if we cancel 1 room and take one of the names we have assigned to the cancelled room and put that name on one of the other 2 rooms that we are keeping and take one of the names off of the room that is assigned to a room that we are keeping. So basically getting rid of 1 room and changing names around before final payment is that possible first and is there some penalty??? I hope I have explained this correctly. Thank you for any information anyone can give me this is our first time with RCI.

You shouldn't be penalized.

As long as one of the "original" names is still on the reservation you won't have a problem. If you end up having to put in all new names you will be probably charged the current rates rather than what you were originally charged.

I just flip-flopped names between our 3 cabins on the MOS about 3 weeks prior and didn't have any problems.

Just call the cruise line. They will help you, and let you know what cost (if any) there will be.

Cancelling 1 room can incur a penalty if you're past the "penalty" phase....it depends how far out your cruise is!

I think if you just switch names, as long as one of the original names stays in the room, it is ok. I think problems occur when you try to add a 3rd to a room or if you switch both original names.

Bottom line, one name needs to stay the same.
