The secret doorway does not look like a door way and will be easily missed. That's why it is so "secret"

It does however link two public places together.

That is a huge clue.

Wow Karon you are bad!

Thats twice you have given away really big clues!

Have to be careful, lots of non members read this and if they all find it P&O will close it down! Not sure what they would do with it though?:p

So okay now I am trying to see if I know where it is, even rang my friend to see if she can work it out. Will it help to keep nagging :D

No not to me:D

It would be like giving away the shore tour brochures secret phase to the world without making members work for it with tiny clues, and of course then anybody could win it not just CCers:p

No, that's not it. We used that one a couple of imes as it led to the kids club.

Thanks Karen for letting me know. I found that one was tucked away but had a few corners to it.

Thanks Karon for the clues! I am thinking and thinking and can not work it out!

If anyone feels like letting me in on the secret, please email me!

I am CC regular, and definately don't want P&O to shut it down. :)

Are you going on the 16 nighter ?

We are off on the 12 nighter on 31 Jan.

We are doing Geraldton first and its showing 2 days from Geraldton to Broome?

Wondering if we have to paddle:)

That could mean 3 nights without casino if they dont head out to sea?

Hope not, I just cant wait for the Pokies as when we cruise is the only time we get to play real ones.

I need a "feature" fix.

Den

We are going on the 16 nighter leaving 4th Jan 2010.

Not Fair!!! I want to know what I missed when we went on the Sun earlier this year. just tell us which deck it is on?

Also, there were a group going on a tour of the bridge with the Captain. We asked how to join up but they said you had to book it before you got on? Is that the case on every cruise?

Have tried to reply before not sure why it didn't work trying again, we are going on the 16 nighter 4th Jan 2010. Been told by P. & O. casino opens 12 miles from all cities except Perth where it is 200. Not happy about that as sometimes have a flutter on the pokies and roulette, something I don't do unless I am on holidays.

Same as me! I only pop in the casino late at night to empty a few bucks out of the pokies:D I dont gamble shore side.

I think it will be a bit strange with the Casino closed for so long, because that rule will be in place on the way out and on the way back in,unless P&O claim they are 12 miles out of NT?

At least the Bingo jackpot will go off nice and early, just in time to spend some in Broome:D:D, The jackpot winner will be able to buy lunch there:D

January 2008 had a fabulous holiday on board Pacific Dawn. 4 families all got along fabulously. Food was devine, activities and shows were fantastic, crew were unreal! The ship, all its facilities (including public toilets) were spotless - the whole time. Kids club fantastic! Our cabin steward even arranged my daughters teddy bear on her bed according to what time of the day it was....

October 2009 booked to cruise on Pacific Sun! A little worried about what some are saying about the state of Pacific Sun. Warm buffet food, filthy public toilets, in need of alot of work, dining areas totally packed (especially breakfast), having to wait 45 minutes for meals, Cruise director loud and annoying...

Have we been spoilt and now concerned about expectations??

You are going on a cruise and are on holidays. Sure the Pacific Dawn is nicer but the Pacific Sun is quaint as has some nice feautres that the Dawn does not have. It will be a different experience but a cruise is what you make it :).

  • 1 month later...

It's probably something to do with a requirement that all areas have to have more than one exit, for safety reasons.

Just my guess..

Also, Den mentioned that the staircase goes between two decks, that's true, but it technically only goes one way.... which is what helps make it a secret. (You can't get to it to go down it).

??????? I found it by going down first?

Sure you have the right staircase?

Just happened to be on the higher deck and see a staff member use it so down we went??? then up we went and down again many times:p

About the staircase, I know where it is and have used it, but I am wondering does anyone know why it is there ??

K

If we are in fact talking about the same "Secret staircase" (Wouldn't it be fun if there was 2:D) I haven't got a clue what its purpose would be because its so strange compared to the rest of the ship?

Perhaps there were many and they were removed when they decided to make it "Sardine tin" passenger capacity?

Perhaps when I go I will say:rolleyes:MMM now I remember!:D:D:D

they would need to rebuild her to even come close to dawn. Anybody booked on pearl and been offered a refund instead of changing to sun, I say take it and run!!

Look , I am no snob and have been on the Sun when there was nothing else and I enjoyed it, but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, its a poor second to any other ship cruising out of Australia and even if I won a trip on it, I would not go, its a ship that should be long gone from Australia , we deserve better, Be warned it is not a good ship at all.

Just my opinion, don't shoot me !!!
