How far is Port Canaveral from the Orlando Airport and what transportation can you use to get there ? Thanks in advance !! :D

Not sure if you are flying in ahead of time but if you are renting a car is by far the most economical and the trip took us about 45 minutes :)

Its about an hour, less if you take the toll road. Cheapest is to rent a car.

45 minutes and you should be there. Cheapest for families is to rent a car and drop off in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa beach. :rolleyes:

Like others have already said, it's a little less than an hour. It's a nice scenic ride, IMO, though, and it goes by quickly!

 

Last time, we rented a shuttle for the 6 of us.

 

Next cruise, it's just hubby and I (so far), so we'll probably rent a car at the airport and drop it off the next day at Avis of Cape Canaveral. Avis then has a free shuttle to the port! Check out their website for more info. Pretty good deal I think.

rent a car. The Beachline can be like an expressway. We made it from MCO to PC in about 40 minutes.

Yes but it's is $35 per person, you can get a rental car for that price and save some $ :)

If you rent a rental car from airport and drop it off at Port Car. Would the rental company charge you a premium for not dropping it off at the place you rent it from?

 

What is the mode of transportation from port to airport for return? Do you rent a car again?

We have a party of 6. If we rent a mini-van at MCO and drop off at Cape Canaveral, will the rental company shuttle all 6 of us and our luggages to the port free? Or should I drop off my family at the port first and then drop off the minivan and they shuttle only me to the port?

 

We will likely be renting a mini-van again for a few more days after the cruise and driving it back to drop off at MCO. Will they shuttle us at the port to the rental place to pick up the minivan?

Some companies will, some will not. But renting a car one way from MCO to Port Canaveral and then one way back is not a well kept secrete. Lots of people do it. So there cars do get back to the airport rental location.
