there are a number of drug stores on 9th and 8th avenue.---within a 1/2 mile of the cruise terminal.

I know there seems like 100's of Duane Reeds in Manhattan, and they have an interactive map to check. I found one at 721 9th Avenue, corner of West 49th. As an aside, did anyone know that 12th Avenue is also known as Joe DiMaggio Hwy????? in that area? Geez no wonder people get confused. :)

It's like the renaming of 6th Avenue as the Avenue of the Americas many years ago; no one who lives here calls it that. I sometimes think that was done to alert unscrupulous cab drivers to the presence of a tourist: "Ah, Avenue of the Americas? Of course! We will have to go by way of Connecticut, of course..."
