Looking for size comparisons of three new ships!

Ok, I know that I could probably find this on each of the cruise lines' web site, but I figured that there must be at least one ship junkie on CC who knows this off the top of his or her head...

How do the Carnival Dream, Norwegian Epic and Oasis of the Seas compare, size wise? Trying to decide whether or not to book one of these behemoths...

Thanks!

I don't know this stuff off the top of my head, but you got me curious....

Carnival Dream: 128,000 tons, 1001 feet, 3646 passengers

Norwegian Epic: 153,000 tons, 1068 feet, 4,200 pax

Oasis of the Seas: 220,00 tons, 1,181 feet, 5,400 pax

remember these numbers are for 2 per cabin. The real full full amount is between 20-30% more. plus crew.

I would not choose any of those 3 BECAUSE they are so huge and accomodate SO many passengers.

I just finished a cruise on a ship that was 950 feet long and carried 2700 passengers, Even though it really didn't feel crowded, that was about as many fellow passengers as I want to sail with.

Personal preference, I know!

Thanks, Fann1sh (and everyone else who chimed in), for doing my homework for me! :D

Holy cow...I don't know what to think! Part of me feels, as does flamomo, that they're just too big. But another part says I just gotta see at least one of them! I think the Oasis is TOO big. Just got a brochure from NCL that's all about the Epic; it's got some amazing features, and the prices I've looked at aren't bad at all. But we like Carnival, too.

*Sigh* It may come down to just flipping a coin, since all three of them are doing similar Caribbean itineraries!

Whew. They are big! I am hoping the Dream and Epic aren't too big. I can just imagine the boarding/tendering/crowds on the Oasis!

Oh, and a tip to anyone booking the new ships:

I went with both the Dream and the Epic for the price of the Oasis alone..... That's how I narrowed it down :)

and I am not interested in cruising any of them-they are all waaay to big for me.
