Best price?? TA, Online, Call Cruise Direct???

Which method would offer the best price? Going through a Travel Agent, booking online with the cruise, or calling the cruise line direct? Anyone know????? Thanks.

I check all and deal with the cheapest.

Use a t/a. The cruise lines will not undercut a t/a. Find a good t/a and let them do all the work especially if it's your first cruise. Get a refferal from a friend who has used a t/a that did a good job.

Ditto on the TA; there has always been cost savings for us, even if in the form of an onboard credit.

Many others prefer to book with cruiseline directly. I did this the first 3 cruises then realized there were better $ options!

I would use a TA for several reasons. Many times the TA can offer additional amenities.

 

And, most TA's will not charge a fee should you want to cancel your cruise. Many on line agencies do.

 

And finally most TA's can add value by following up on any items you need assistance with after your inititial booking.

I like to book it myself online and watch it for a price drop. I also like to go online and make monthly payments with my credit card--keeps me on budget.

I do online TA's. The one i booked last month, I got a call from the online TA and enjoyed dealing with her. I didn't need her to do much but it was still nice for her to doublecheck.

 

As far as brick and mortar TA's, I do not use them but some people have a different comfort level than I do.

 

The fist cruise I went on I went directly with the line as I needed some hand holding. Now after several cruises, I kinda know the ropes.

All of the above. Shop around, then pick whichever you're the most comfortable with (which may end up not being the cheapest..but where you feel like you've gotten the best customer response and support.)

the last cruises i have booked...GREAT deals with my TA altho last dec NCL gave us a FANTASTIC deal so it just depends and i CHECK them both!!!---i do LIKE the PERSONAL service i have been getting with my TA tho...that does go a ways with me;)
