Thomson Spirit

Recommended Posts

There are usually at least one of the Thomson ships not in service during the winter. Last year they were in the Caribbean, Canaries and Red Sea - as indeed they are again this winter. They only have one ship in each location therefore one or more (depending on how many they have at any given time) is not in service for several months over the winter.

One of the waiters was telling us (in August) that he was due to stay on board for a few days after the last cruise in the autumn to cover all the dining room up and put everything in storage - so perhaps that means it is not in use over the winter i.e. chartered out to any other company.

We are booked on the Spirit on 10th march also, but we are staying in a hotel in Cyprus the week after the cruise for a chill out after a busy week cruising. We got the free drinks package and the hotel is AI too,so two weeks of not worring about a bar bill at the end of the holiday.
