balcony wiht toddler question

I have searched and did not find the answer to this question so forgive me if its been posted before. I am looking at possibly booking connecting balcony rooms on CCL liberty. one for my 2 2 year olds to sleep in. my question is about the balcony door. is there any way they are going to be able to open it? are the locks high on the door so they can't reach?

 

also does anyone know if on the connecting cabins if there is a way to take down the connector between the 2 balconys?

we will have to book 1 adult in each cabin, but that is how we want to sleep

No way can they open the doors. There is a lock at the top and the door is super heavy, I even have trouble opening it at times. My DD age 4 could not reach the lock or open it at all on this last cruise.

The child lock is difficult for ME to open! Once it's locked, they won't be getting out there!

thanks for all the answers. now we just have to figure out whether we cabin justify the cost of 2 balcony cabins versus 2 windows
