YUP. We put magnetic white boards on our doors and leave each other notes as to where we'll be etc.

The ships we've been on the walls are matal also. We take a couple of magnets off the fridge on the way out the door and slap a couple of pics and maybe the daily schedule right up on the wall.

Metal walls??? Now there's something I've never heard of. Unless of course you have only sailed Carnival!

Sorry - I couldn't help myself. Not that there is anything wrong with Carnival...................:):D

Just be careful with whiteboards. We had 3 cabins with whiteboards. DH and I got some very strange notes from people we didn't know. We wrote on the board to please stop since this was for communiction with our other family memebers. They wrote back something rude and we had to take it down.

DD and GF had theirs stolen on the 3rd or 4th day. DD and friend had graphic body parts drawn on theirs everynight. It really is great for communicating if others don't use it for their stupid antics:(

Some folks have nothing better to do than deface other folks things. One of my signs was defaced on one of the cruises...not sure why folks think they need to do such...

Voice mail is probably a more secure way to pass messages...and it may even be possible to check messages from elsewhere on the ship, I have not tried myself though.

Its true....the cabin walls are metal. I have a small set of magnets that I have in my cruise travel bag of goodies. Nice for posting up invitations, our itinerary, any notes to our cabin stewerd and other stuff. :)

Yes all cabin doors are metal, making them fire proof or fire safe.
