Balcony Stateroom Guarantee

I have booked a Balcony Stateroom Guarantee on my next cruise. It states that a room will not be assigned until the cruise is paid in full. Would I have a better room assigned if I paid now or later?

There is no formula and I have seen rooms assigned WAY before final payment and not until the people arrived at the pier. You never know.

We had our cabin number when we booked & paid the deposit. We used an agent-not sure if that makes a difference. I'd think Sue would know, being an agent & all!

Put my deposit in over 2 months ago for my GTY Suite. Nothing at all assigned yet. Total is due in about 2 weeks...so we shall see what happens then :)

Not sure if this is the only way it happens but after full payment made stateroom assigned that day.

You'll probably be assigned in a couple of days if not sooner, it doesn't help to pay your full bill. One cannot possibly lose with a balcony guarantee...I love it. We have never had a bad balcony (oxi-moron) such a good deal. Our last one they upgraded us to D1 from the E2 guarantee we originally booked.:D

my cruise has been paid in full for a few weeks now, and still no cabin assignment. as stated earlier, i know of people who haven't have their cabins assigned until they arrived at the pier.

I had my GTY cabin assigned 3 months before I made the final payment.
