CruiserPK Posted October 11, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2009 We will be embarking on the Nautica for 45 nights next year. Could someone provide information on the gym equipment/facilities? It would be most helpful to hear from someone who has recently been on the ship. Cheers, Pam

This year, it has become important for me to work out and follow a particular routine. I contacted Oceania requesting a list of their programmes and equipment so that I can alter my regime to fit. This is their response: "Thank you for contacting Oceania Cruises. I have listed below the equipment and classes available in our fitness centers: I hope the following information is helpful: Opening Hours 08:00 am to 8:00 pm Sea Days and Last Day of Cruise 08:00 am to 10:00 pm Port Days Features Aerobic Area 355 sq ft 33 sq m Exercise Room 420 sq ft 39 sq m Classes available to all guests: Pilates Yoga Circuit Training Morning Stretch Equipment: Dumb Bells up to 50 lbs Treadmill Life Cycle Recumbent Bike Upper Body Clubs Cross Trainer Pilates Machine Row, Rear Delt Machine Chest Press Weight Machine Overhead Press Weight Machine Arm Extension Weight Machine Arm Curl Weight Machine Leg Extension Weight Machine Prone Leg Curl Weight Machine Fitness Ball" Hope this information is helpful. Aussie Gal Posted October 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted October 14, 2009 We used the gym daily when we were on the Nautica last year on our 35 day cruise. We found that the days we were in port it wasn't so busy but on the sea days it became extremely busy and we found the best times were early in the morning around 7am. Obviously, they have either changed the times since last year or have increased them as I think the gym used to open around 6.30am. We used the walking machine and the bikes and found them to be in excellent condition. Jennie
