funatsea01 Posted October 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Has anyone stayed at either of these? The price is about the same so I'm trying to decide which one.
cb at sea Posted October 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Intercontinental is a LOVELY property---very "upscale" and the folks are very friendly. It's an easy walk through a small part to Bayside Marketplace (right on the harbor) and you have a view of port from the upper levels of the hotel. We find it very convenient! A cab to port costs about $8 or so.
funatsea01 Posted October 13, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted October 13, 2009 Thanks, The Intercontinental does look like it is a little closer to bayside market then the EPIC and both hotels look very nice now I just need a little help in deciding. The Klev Posted October 13, 2009 #6 Share Posted October 13, 2009 The Intercontinental is on EasyClickTravel dot com. For February school vacation, we got a $450.00 room for $179.00, then were upgraded to a suite when we got there. Definitely try that site to book - the deals are fantastic. vacruizer Posted October 14, 2009 #9 Share Posted October 14, 2009 is every room at the intercontinental port view? we're booked her next month for our Liberty cruise. We got a fantastic deal for 84 night through last min** trav** . Co*:) No, only certain sides have a port view. The Intercontinental is wonderful. Spacious rooms, beautiful lobby, roof garden with a walking path and pool - I would stay there again any time! Don't confuse the Intercontinental with the Continental Bayside - two VERY different places. :p The Continental Bayside consistently makes all sorts of worst hotel and dirtiest hotel lists - reading reviews of it is almost comical if you didn't feel so bad for the poor people that got stuck there. gusandgidgetsmom Posted October 14, 2009 #10 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Love the Intercontinental. We get the best price of all----$00.00 and get special check-in. My husband travels for his company and they stay in the Intercontinental Hotel brand. Company pays we get the perks.
Rare nbsjcruiser Posted October 14, 2009 #11 Share Posted October 14, 2009 Has anyone stayed at either of these? The price is about the same so I'm trying to decide which one. Have never stayed at the Epic but have stayed at the Intercontinental and will be doing so again in February. Very nice hotel and handy to everything. If you can get a decent price, you can't go wrong.
