Halloween

Sailing on the Emerald and will be on the ship Halloween, which is our last night. Is this a formal night? Does the ship usually have a Halloween contest and do most people wear costumes to dinner, etc.?

Formal nights are never the last night as most people have to pack and put their luggage out that evening. Yes, most who have sailed on Halloween report that people dressed up in costumes, as well as the crew. Have fun!

We sail on Halloween all the time...Have fun with it...the ship will be decorated (in the atrium). It's a fun night for the crew, they always have a crew party on that night, so they are all in a good mood!!!! BOO!

That's all I've got -- I've never sailed over Halloween myself, I'm only reporting what I've read on here. I bet if you do a search for Halloween, you'll get some of the posts that I'm remembering. Some people have even posted photos. There were carved pumpkins and so forth, some people decorate their cabin door -- you know, the usual silly fun.

My sister and I will be on this sailing and plan to wear costumes to dinner on the last night. Formal nights are likely to be scheduled earlier in the week (Monday or Tuesday) and following the port call in St. Thomas, not on the final night of the voyage.

havent been to Halloween on Princess but on RC they did decorate and had a deck party that night with a costume competition

And they had a parade with the kids in costume the last time we were on the CB for Halloween. Very cute!

I will also be on this sailing. Halloween is my favorite time of year. Most people wear costumes. I dress up every year and wear my costume to dinner. The crew are hit and miss with costumes. This will be my 3rd Halloween in a row. I also decorate my door. I don't know if they have a Halloween contest. I've never sailed with Princess. Formal nights are Tuesday Oct 27th and Thursday Oct 29th. Hope this has been helpful.
