here are a couple...and you can read thru this thread and find many answers.....

courtyard by marriott FLL airport

Springhill suites

hampton inn

if you lock in to shuttles, you're limiting yourself....cabs aren't much....the airport, pier and many hotels are close...plus you could try Priceline or hotwire...

other options, on 17th street that will be within walking distance of food and shopping are

hyatt place

holiday inn express

renaissance

embassy suites

hyatt pier 66

hilton ft lauderdale grande

depends when you get in and what you want to do.

that's a start....read thru this board and you'll find lots of info....:)

Although shuttles aren't oferred, I've always been very pleased with the Renaissence. Restaurants are close by, and there's a Wallgreens right across the street for forgotten items.

As has been mentioned, cabs are really inexpensive; & the Renaissence is only about a 5 minute ride to the port.

i have read that you are from the ft lauderdale area. what is your opinion of this hotel location etc? we would fly in in the pm and go to the ship the next morning as soon as we can board. previous experience with HAL has been early boarding. thanks again. ray

If you mean the LaQuinta in Hollywood, it is close to the airport and cruiseport (15 minutes) and you can walk to a few chain restaurants in Oakwood Plaza (I like the Hollywood Ale House). We normally get to the port at noon and if there are any lines, they are moving. This hotel caters to cruisers, so they have the complimentary shuttles.
