aussiespirit Posted November 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Hi, can anyone tell me if it is true that there are electric kettles ( to heat water for a cup of tea) in the cabins on board Rhapsody Of The Seas? I seem to remember reading about it somewhere, but on the RCC site there is no mention of them at all, hope someone has the info, thanks a lot. HUNKY Posted November 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 3, 2009 Coffee makers, irons and tea kettles will be confiscated if found due to safety concerns. Tea, cups and hot water are available in the Windjammer Cafe, or via room service.

To correct the previous answers: yes there should be kettles in all rooms on Rhapsody so you can make your cup of tea! There certainly was last year for the Australian season. Kettles also supplied in all rooms on Independence, and Brilliance (and Legend I think I read) where there is a high % of British on board who like their morning cuppa! Kettles in all JS and above on all ships

The tea kettles along with coffee pots can be found in GS cabins and above fleet wide. MAZANDSTEVE Posted November 3, 2009 #9 Share Posted November 3, 2009 We had a kettle on Brilliance and it wasnt a JS or GS we had a balcony room. I have heard that its the ships that are in the Med that get kettles because of the amount of Brits that like their hot tea, email RC thats always the best thing.:)

Keep an eye on her, they grow and change so fast. Our grandboys just moved to Michigan and we miss them, their parents to of coarse. Jan

not2old Posted November 4, 2009 #13 Share Posted November 4, 2009 We were in a D1 balcony on the Rhapsody Sept '09 and we had a tea kettle/hot water pot. We took the Starbucks Vita instant and had Bailey's & coffee each evening on our balcony! The only way to see Alaska!!
Gablin Posted January 4, 2010 #14 Share Posted January 4, 2010 I was in a little inside cabin on Rhapsody in September, and there was a hot pot and there were several kinds of tea in my cabin. I had tea on a few afternoons in my cabin without having to call for room service. It made me think that I would bring those Starbucks coffee things with me if I cruised with Royal again. This thread is kinda old, but since it's been bumped I just thought I would comment the kettles in all rooms on Independence must be only while she is sailing from England, as we did not have one last winter when we sailed her from Fort Lauderdale. champagne lover Posted January 4, 2010 #16 Share Posted January 4, 2010 Do they also supply teabags and coffee sachets or should we bring our own? And what about fresh milk - can't stand these little tubs of UHT milk you get in hotel rooms. Perhaps we should go to Windjammer and bring down a glass of milk and keep it in our fridge - we do get a fridge don't we?

There are Teabags and sweetners but you will have to ask for honey..Careful about thinking it is a fridge it is more like a cooler..don't leave the milk in there too long....Enjoy... We sailed on INDY in Jan '09 out of FLL to Eastern Caribbean and we DID have an electric kettle... but we were in a RFS so maybe that might have been the difference..
