My husband and I have always have a *gasp* moment when we step off the covered tunnel from the terminal onto the actual wooden deck and into the atrium of the ship. It's our favorite moment and that's when the OMG WE'RE ON VACATION!! feeling officially starts.

One of our favorite moments!

It's usually when we first set foot on the actual ship. Our biggest OMG moment was boarding Symphony of the Seas and instead of an atrium, found ourselves in a shopping mall! Four Aussie tourists with their jaws simultaneously hitting the floor!

My wife says it's when she looks down just before boarding, steps over the water, and onto the actual deck. This makes sense, of course.
But for me the moment is when they took my seapass card, scanned it and I heard the ding.
I guess the difference is between physically boarding, and being officially recognized as a passenger. Very little difference, I know.
