**If I ran Carnival Cruise Lines, I would...**

Hummmm....how about this.

I would take out the blast of air that hits you as you enter the lido deck through the sliding doors...

I think that is the purview of an authority somewhat higher up than the Carnival CEO!

You may be right, but it always wrecks my hair! LOL:D...how about,

I would add bacon and mushrooms to the topping selections for the grilled burgers...yummmm...can you tell I am getting hungry?

1. Put more scan in/scan out (and security for re entry) machines at the gangways so that disembarking/reembarking at a port of call is more like a "Supermarket Check Out" (many lines at once) than a single file line backing up stairs into the hallway of the next deck up.

2. Break the two dining rooms on many ships into three dining rooms and offer "Traditional" dining (some elegant days, some casual) in one, "Casual" dining (all casual all the time) in another, and "Formal" (elegant attire all the time) in the other. Enforce elegant dress code strictly, but always simply redirect anyone not "dressed to par" to the Casual Dining room.

3. Give someone other than Farcus a try at a Carnival ship interior design. Brighter colors and a "less is more" approach to decorating the walls and pillars would be a fresh new image for the ships.

4. Sail out of NYC year round, with a retractable roof in the winter. That's something the competing 137,000-ton gorilla in the NY Year round market (or any other ship out of NYC) doesn't have.

5. Enforce deck chair hog rules with signage. Train all staff who works on the lido of the policy to ensure it's enforced.

As an aside, the first Fantasy classes will reach Holiday's age in the next few years. While they'll probably be around a bit longer given the Evolutions of Fun $$$ being spent on them, given the lead time a newbuild requires, I wonder what Carnival will do when that time comes, and if Joe Farcus will retire before or after the decisions have to be made on those...

Mushrooms on a burger?

My boyfriend LOVES mushrooms on his burgers. If it were up to me, I'd do away with mushrooms completely! YUK! Some different pizza toppings would be nice though and letting you select which toppings you want for your pizza. When I was on Destiny a few years ago, we were able to tell them what we wanted, but this year on Liberty the guy making the pizzas just kept pointing to the list and told us that's what was available.

1) Love and marriage: New ending line.

2) Camp Carnival: Different t-shirts for different ships

3) how many "hariy mans" on the lido can one take?

4) Camp Carnival: get rid of the wii. there are several nationalities who work the camp, teach the children,.

... and breakfast... :o
I agree With CMC- anytime, any day!

ALSO

1)Get a Disabled line at check-in, straight to the disabled/wheelchair check-in desk, and Embarkation lines to ship

2) more port-days ship-board activities (including easier Trivia Quizzes!)

3) more smoke free areas

4) why must we smuggle booze?

5) Pins, chocolates & prints should be MANDATORY for Past cruisers (no matter what their rank)

Great points so far!! Just off the Freedom so everything is fresh.

BAN the morning show on the big outdoor screen!!!!!!!!! also any of the talks or sales pitches. Make it available in your cabin not on the lido deck.

Play music on the lido deck all day long.

More fun at sail away. On one of the other lines they get everyone up dancing and of course Disney goes way out.

More varied music in the disco. Change it up more so we can all go in and dance.

Captains Party needs to go back to the old way. All of us in the lobby...what was with that? oh and no free drinks only $1.00 off drinks.

Pools and Hot tubs having longer hours. 24 hours is nice.

More chocolate desserts.

Smoking policies are getting better but still have a long way to go. We too avoid the piano bar which is a shame.

Free chocolate covered strawberries at dinner.

On another note thank you for bringing "The Quest" over from Royal Caribbean! Such great fun.

Am I the only one who misses him?

To be perfectly honest....I was leary when UB retired and Cahill took over....because Cahill is a bean counter (and since I am a bean counter...I know that sometimes the bottom line can get in the way).

But, so far, he has been spontaneous. He has been willing to be "fun" for the cause. It will take time to see what his changes will ultimately mean to the "experience".

If I owned Carnival I would have music all the time on the Lido - no more hairy chest contests, an ADULTS ONLY area on all of the ships with a bar, pool, hot tub and food - no one under the age of 21 allowed as well, I think the casino's could be alittle larger.....oh oh oh and better shopping on the boat - to just buy Carnival and cheap stuff is not getting a dollar out of me.;)
