Cabins Above Casino ??

Can anyone comment on balcony cabins above the casino as far as noise goes? We are thinking of booking cabin 6332 on the Valor. It is midship but above the one end of the casino. I guess I am afraid of it being very noisy.Thanks!

I personally wouldn't book on deck 6 as I like having cabins above and below me. Our kids were on 6 aft on Destiny and it was loud above the lounge, can't help you with casino.

We were in 6324 on Valor, two doors down. We booked it because we got a deal on the inside cabin across the hall for our boys. We slept fine, but we could hear casino noise - mostly the guy on the PA system and cheering when someone won big (only an occasional event;)).

We were in a balcony cabin above the casino/karaokee on the Freedom and it was horrible from 9pm to about 2am nightly. We used to lay there in bed and sing with the singers . . .

I was thnking the same thing. I am on the dream room 6266 and it is above the casino floor. I figured that since I am a late sleeper don't go to bed till 1 or 2 I should be fine. Has any one been on the dream yet????

hi, we are currently booked right above the lounge on freedom #6428 and #6448 and i'm also worried about noise. at least i've heard that it closes at 1, but those nights we go to bed before that, you think it will keep us up??

for cruisechick1 the casino and dance club dont close till 3am ... or thats what happpened when i was on the destiny. I dont knowif they close all the same time on all the ships

We were on 6 above the casino on Conquest, in an inside room. We could hear the band late at night, but it wasn't bad. Just kind of hummed ourselves to sleep!

I had a interior cabin mid ship on the Liberty last year above the casino. There was not too much noise but what bothered me was the smoke that would come up through the air conditioning ducts into my cabin. It always smelt like smoke.

I had a inside, 6336, and didnt hear any noise. We did have a water problem about 4 doors foreward of us they moved someone out of in the balcony. No noise.

Were you on starboard side?? I didnt hear the band on the port side of the deck at all. The band is on the starboard side, OP is on the port side.

i've heard the lounge closes at 1, and thats better than 3am for us. as long as my parents are ok with it, i'll be alright. my husband is bringing a fan :)

We were above the Casino when we sailed the Lliberty for the first time. Yes we coul dhear the ringing of the slot machines and noise. I got a set of earplugs. I try now to watch where the room is beofre I book. I have a great PVP now and he watches out for me and makes sure we are taken care of.

We were in #6334 on Liberty this past fall. We could hear the noise but it was over by 1pm. We were ususally asleep by 10:30-11 (not big party people here) and it wasn't that loud. I won't book a room on this floor again just b/c I would be worried about the noise.

Yeah my great PVP, who no longer works there, suggested that we stay in the back of the ship on the Upper level. At the time I didn't think anything of us being above the clubs, but was just glad to get such a high level. After reading many reviews on here of this part of the ship I am regretting it and wishing the PVP would have at least mentioned it. I guess since this is my first cruise I've booked on my own, I will know better for next time.. but maybe the noise won't be a problem anyway I'm hoping.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO B and B Rookie Cannucks: I've been above the Casino a few times. No problems. One thing you should know though, I usually close out the Casino. But, if the dealers are rude then I'll leave early.

You should not get noise from the casino if you are above it.

 

Im talking even side cabins- if you have an odd number cabin--look to see if you are above the casino bar--- you then will have a problem as this is an area where a band sets up and starts playing at 9PM each evening.

 

There are also lounges below some cabins on deck 6 - if your cabin sits above the seating area of the lounge you are fine- if your cabin sits above the stage area you will get noise. The piano bars goes to the wee hours of the morning..pay attention to where your cabin is situated.

 

Booking a guarantee--you take the chance of getting one of those cabins

if it IS the seating area you are fine.
