Beds - Golden Princess

Have they replaced the bed yet on the Golden Princess?? We sailed her 4 years ago and the beds were terrible. If not, does anyone know if and when they plan to do so??

I don't know about scheduling or if they've been replaced since we've cruised, but we sailed on her in June of this year and the beds were HORRIBLE.

 

Something was popping out of our mattress, through the egg crate and lightly stabbed us if we turned over :eek:

 

Holes in the mattress, sunken center, horrible, horrible.

The ship came out of dry dock in the middle of May. We also sailed in June and our Dolphin mini did not have a new mattress. They are changed out on an ongoing basis so its hard to say if your cabin will have a new one.

What made them horrible? Too hard, too soft, too old? Just curious because we're on the Golden in a few months-time. Need to prepare oneself!

Personally, if the mattress I found in my stateroom had 'pokey things' stabbing me, I would have asked to have the mattress replaced ASAP. They do have new ones onboard, and this would be a case that the mattress needed replaced immediately. ;)
