Which South Beach Miamia hotel do you like that is Oceanfront and near the action?

I'm looking for an OCEANFRONT South Beach Miami hotel that is "oceanfront" AND near all the dancing, dining and shopping action.

That means easy walking distance day or night (or super short cab ride). Good for socializing with others and safe...great oceanfront access.

thanks!

As is the case with most things, all of this comes down to what you want to spend. Many of them are located right off the beach and where the action is.

A site that has some nice writeups on hotels in selected cities including Miami and South Beach is at the following link.

http://www.oyster.com/

And of course there is tripadvisor.com

How much are you looking to spend?

What is your budget?

My first choice is The Setai.

The Gansavoort

The Delano (small weird rooms unless you want to spend $1000+ per night on a suite or cabana but the public areas and pool are what makes it worth the big bucks)

The Loews

The Shore Club

The National

The Ritz-Carlton

The Tides

The Mondarin

Awesome suggestions!!!

Thanks so much!!!

I was looking for around 225 and found that...thanks!!

In this order:

The Loews

The National

Doubletree Surfcomber

The Shelbourne

The South Seas

The Marseilles

Start at the top and work your way down. The Royal Palm is a good hotel in the same location but the rooms vary so much I wouldn't book unless I got a super good deal.
