Conquest sails Voyage doesn't?

Anyone have any idea why Conquest left the foggy Port of Galveston while Voyage is still tied up?

I know the fog is bad but the port has not been closed.

Was CCL reckless or is RCI to0 cautious?

The decision to take Conquest out was made by the port pilot onboard, the port pilot on VOS did not feel it was same to leave port, so not RCI or Carnivals decision

The pilots take a lot into consideration in these issues. The size of the ship, draft, and method of propulsion are some very big factors. Perhaps, the powers that be felt that the Conquest cold be safely navigated and the Voyager couldn't.

Conquest had already turned around before she docked on Sunday, greatly simplifying departure. Since Voyager still had to make a turn I think it was probably too risky to try to get her out in the poor visibility.
