sek0910 Posted December 28, 2009 Author #12 Share Posted December 28, 2009 The lobster is on the Fisherman's plate on 6th nite (the second formal dinner) In general, the food quality seems to have gone downhill (both in quality and number of selections) from cruises several years ago. The food in the specialty restaurants I went to (Giovannis Table and Chops) was excellent however and worth the extra $$ Don't overlook the "unadvertised" sit down, waiter served lunches in the Main Dining Room. Both the number of dishes and the quality seemed much better than dinner for some reason! Avoid the always available top sirloin steak though. It is not a very quality piece of meat. You might try requesting a strip steak and see if they will give you one.

bad973 Posted December 29, 2009 #18 Share Posted December 29, 2009 Welcome to CC, Aatagirl. You choose your meal selections at each dinner. The waiter gives you a menu, and you choose, just like a shoreside restaurant. OP, THANKS so much for taking the time to post the menus. I don't sail til April 24 so I've got lots of time to drool.:D Barbara

mcfaddensfarm Posted January 2, 2010 #21 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks for posting these! I was wondering about the choices because my teenage son decided to become a "pescatarian" (basically a step away from vegetarian--doesn't eat any meat except fish) a couple of months ago and has really stuck with it. I was kind of worried he wouldn't have much by way of choices but I can see now he'll have NO problem at all! :)

vegasgirl702 Posted January 6, 2010 #25 Share Posted January 6, 2010 Yes, looks like the same menu that was on the Mariner in April and October. Very similar, some days had almost a perfect match. Just got off Marnier's NYE cruise (27 Dec- 3 Jan). Only a handful of dishes were not served-- namely lasagna & moussaka.
