Hello Everyone,

Could anyone possibly help us, we are doing a b2b on the Summit. Jan 30- Feb 6 and Feb 6- Feb 13. We are trying to complete the online check-in , but it requires us to put in departure info for the 6th of Feb.(flight no. flight time etc..) there doesnt seem to be any way around this. If anyone has completed this for a b2b could you please help us out.

Thanks

On the Celebrity website check-in section on Travel Information, there is an option of 'Complementary Cruise' which you can select.

If you can't select that (I assume you would have seen that so something may be 'off''):

When I first sign up for a cruise and don't have a flight, I just put in XXX for the flight number. Then when you are onboard, you just make sure you are a B2B. You can then complete the check-in.So just fake it that way if it isn't letting you put in what you want.

Someone else may have inputs.

Denny

It must be a new requirement because that entire section has always been optional before. Since we make our own travel arrangements, we always skipped that part and never had a problem.

We only fill in the fields that are required, which are indicated with an asterisk or some other such marking. (I can't recall for sure exactly what Celebrity uses but there is something that differentiates the required items from those that are optional.)

In any case, even if they now require you to put something in, you can just enter anything for the time being. The departure plan info is not binding and many people do change their travel plans.

After you are on the ship, during the first cruise you will receive another form asking about your departure plans. It has a place on it to indicate that you are staying on for the b2b. That is the form they will actually use for arranging disembarkation and turnover.

Some people link both cruises together when they do a b2b, but we will no longer do that because once after we did, we tried to make a minor change online and discovered that it would no longer let us make changes after the reservations were linked. There is really no need to link them.

When we did our back to back over New Years, there was a choice of "continuing cruise". Sounds like they might be updating the online check in form. I agree with Denny...just fake it. You will have to answer all these questions again once you are on board, and B2B is a choice on the printed form (or at least it was 2 weeks ago)

We're looking at doing the same B2B one week later. Terrific pricing (yesterday), and no need to disembark between. Not sure though, as it seems ten islands in two weeks may get monotonous. For that reason, we're considering an 11-day with alternating sea/port days...

We did a Solstice B2B with E Med and a TA. the E Med was great, but it was a 'challenge' with only 2 sea-days on a 10N cruise. It was followed by the initial W Med ports leading to the Atlantic crossing so we took it easy in one port and just relaxed (when we returned to Rome, just staying on board because didn't want the long trip into Roma and back!). then we had the great 6 days at sea - loved it.

So with a B2B in the Caribbean with lots of islands, good idea to look for more At-Sea time. But another solution is to just relax in port and have the ship to yourself. Can get hectic.

We are going to do a B2B from Seattle to Alaska. When the first cruise is over & everyone disembarks what will we be able to do? Can we stay in our stateroom (it is the same one as the 1st cruise), can we just wander the ship, go to the pool, etc. Or can we disembark & do some sightseeing & return to our stateroom before everyone starts boarding?

Any info will be appreciated.

Happy Cruising!

You can do any of the above.

If you stay on the ship then you'll have to meet someplace to go through customs. Procedures vary, on our Ft. Lauderdale turn around we met in a ship conference room around 9:30 or 10AM, received our new keys, then after the last departing passenger left we were escorted as a group off the ship, through customs and back onto the ship.

If you choose to get off the ship at the same time as the disembarking passengers then you'll go through customs with them at that time and you can't re-board until they start the general re-boarding. However you will get an in-transit pass to bypass lines and get you quickly back on board - then pick up your new sea pass at guest relations. At least that was the procedure on our one b2b cruise on the Constellation at Ft. Lauderdale.

To the original poster - I can't recall what we did for check in - but you could always just put in your actual airline reservation out - even if the flight isn't until the end of the final segment of your b2b. But do check in with customer relations during the first part of your cruise to make sure they have you listed as a b2b passenger.

You can pretty well do whatever you want that day. We received our new seapass cards on the last day of the first cruise. We asked our stateroom attendant to make up our cabin last so we could sleep in the morning of turnaround day. By the time we decided to go ashore, the departing passengers were already gone so we avoided the crowds completely and walked right off with no line at all.

Re-boarding the ship, we went right on with no waiting in line to check in since we already had our new seapass cards. The only thing different upon boarding that day was having our pictures taken when we inserted the new cards. Oh, getting champagne and mimosas again too.

(If you re-board early before they start serving the drinks, just go back and pick them up later.)
