wristband Posted January 12, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2010 As a first time Regent cruiser, question for you grizzled veterans. Is use of the steam/sauna available to all whenever the spa is open or usage limited only to those receiving a spa treatment?
dfb Posted January 12, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2010 The steam/saunas are available to all, not just spa customers. You have to go through the spa and/or gym to get to them though. On Mariner and Voyager, you then have to go to your proper sex's restroom and find them in there. Don't know how Navigator is laid out. You can either just ask the spa personnel when you are ready to use the facilities. Or, show up at the fitness center first day during orientation hours listed and get the full tour of what is available in the area. Debbie
JPR Posted January 12, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Based on my recent experience, you may want to check the sauna or steam room in advance to make sure it's actually on! Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed taking a daily late afternoon sauna before dinner. For me, it's more relaxing than a massage (and it's free too boot). OrpingtonT Posted January 12, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 12, 2010 I learn something new frequently. I never knew there was a sauna available. Thanks for that info.
Rare RachelG Posted January 14, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 14, 2010 My husband uses the steam room/sauna most every day on board. That is one of his favorite indulgences.
SanFranCruizer Posted January 14, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 14, 2010 On Mariner this past December, I used the steam/sauna almost every day. And the best thing was it was like my own personal spa. With the exception of one time, I never saw another soul in there except occasionally the attendant who came through to check on towels, water, etc.
DonnaB Posted January 15, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 15, 2010 A really good way to warm up after being up on deck or after an excursion in Alaska. We too, never had to share the sauna. Shhh, a good secret.
