Food Portions on Princess Cruises

How do you feel about the food portions on Princess Cruises...when we were on a holland cruise the food portions were alittle on the small side...so what do you think about the portions on a princess cruise?

I think that the portions served have gone down a bit and I think this is a good thing. If you want more, they are always happy to bring more.

The appetizers seem small but the rest seems normal size to me. Regardless, it is more food than I can finish. You can always ask for more.

we've been sailing Princess since 2001 and I haven't seen the portion sizes change. To me, they are a perfect size, not too large, not too small.

How do they compare to RCCL portions? I was happy with those portion sizes, but my boyfriends a big guy.

It's never a problem to get extra. Just ask.

On one of my cruises 'day at sea' I was walking my usual 3 miles when I was joined by a chatty very slim family man who told me he ate 3 dinners every nite.

I'm a bid guy and I can tell you that you won't go hungry on a Princess Cruise. Even if the initial portion is not enough, they will bring you as much as you want

They've always seemed appropriate to me. But I can understand what you are concerned about. Keep in mind you can order 20 of everything if you want it. But take this starter for example:

 

 

I could eat a LOT more asparagus than this but taken as a whole with the entire meal it's plenty for me. In fact, I often find myself not finishing early courses to save room for dessert!

I have never had any trouble with portions with Princess. In fact when travelling with my husband, he has had double & triple portions without any hassle.
