WOW! Over 400 posts over 2 mini airline bottles of liquor. I just saw this thread, and don't think that I need to start reading at the beginning of this thread, because it has to be like every other smuggling thread on this board.

Good grief, Charlie Brown!!:D;)

Rum runners are rectal bladders.

Insert and then use the handy funnel to fill them up. :D

The bigger the opening the more booze you can hold. And these little gems are virtually invisible to any screening devices.

The "runners" part comes in if you overfill and have to run to the loo to try and get rid of them. I'd bring a hat pin to puncture them if you have difficulty.

Some guy on here has the record at 10.;)

Not petty at all.

Disregarding the rules sometimes leads to consequences.

No booze means no booze...period.

Bet your Mother is old enough to know that.

Tell me you don't break the speed limit on the highway? Come on....

Rum runners are the way to go, peeps! They work everytime!

When I want to bring MY swords onboard I put them in a "swordrunner". My wife likes to swordfight on the balcony before dinner. It's not taking any money from RCCL as they do not provide the types of swords we enjoy fighting with.

LOL. Love it.:)

Yes but you can only drink them in the MDR and WJ... I want a drink in my room. I actually called RCCI and they confirmed this. But, I can go to Vintages and purchase a glass and take it with me. I also would enjoy my wine package wine at the casino but would somehow have to get it out of MDR and WJ. RCCI rep did not offer up any alternatives. BTW... the wine package is over $30 a bottle for a $10 bottle of wine I can buy myself. Seems a bit excessive.

I think it's more like $30 for a $7 bottle of wine - the mark-up is really high. However, contrary to what the rep might have told you (they are notorious for giving out erroneous information), you can certainly enjoy all the wine you want in your cabin. Room service will be happy to deliver it. You can get a bottle at most bars and bring it with you whereever. Or just grab an extra bottle from the MDR or WJ - they'll either open it for you or give you a corkscrew.

Also, you can preorder it via the wine cellar...

I love smuggling threads. Somehow I missed this monstrosity. I just skimmed through 11+ pages. Its full of win.

yeah things are getting really tight.

i think our smuggling days are over. we will just pay the bar bill. But we don't drink that much!

On my Carnival cruise we resealed and re-corked lot's of wine bottles filled with our favorite spirits since they still allow 1 bottle of wine per adult. (we had 11 adults so we were in good shape)! I got flamed by some jerk for sharing this secret on a thread sharing smuggling secrets on the CC board.

He said "they watch these boards. Now because of you we won't be able to bring wine" . Anyway if you cruise carnival, you can walk right on with a bottle of wine, and these sealing kits can be ordered on the web.;)

Yes, and thread is over 5 months old. They keep jockeying for position, so this is currently the 'latest' smuggling thread. Guess just bumped it again.

Thanks for the information. I'm a picky wine drinker (not expensive wines, just certain types of whites) and would be so sad if I could not indulge on my vacation!! Otherwise, I might have to suffer thru a tropical drink with an umbrella floating in it :)

Someone over on the Princess forum posted this drink. It’s called the Weng,Weng. It consists of vodka, tequila, brandy, bourbon, whiskey and rum, ice, orange and pineapple, grenadine. Couple of these and you’re good or bad for the evening. No need for smuggling.

What is a Myers Rum Floater? Is that just a splash of Myers on top of whatever you are drinking?

What is the difference between Long Island Ice Tea and Long Beach Ice Tea?

One more question - can you taste the tequila in a Long Island Ice Tea?

  • 2 weeks later...
The only other line that seems to have this mentality is NCL, and they get a little carried away with it, by searching everything at every port.

We love HAL, Princess & Carnival for letting you take your wine on board and we've never had a problem restocking in ports. A number of years ago, HAL had an onboard liquor store with excellent prices for premium spirits that you could take back to your cabin. That went away after Carnival bought them.

My neighbors went on NCL out of Miami. . .had a couple of bottles of rum or something like that, small bottles. NCL security scanned bag and bingo. . found it. Took it out and "Had you planned on not buying drinks on board?" They said "No." After some conversation affirming that they would not be buying drinks on board, they give them the bottles and sent them on through. Now is that a surprise. It was a 4 day cruise.
