Bad Dream 9th -16th....disappointment!

I knew I would get some daggers for my review....We were just disappointed....to each his own. We spoke to quite a few families on board and they were saying the same as us...what is there to do??? If we missed something, please someone tell me what....not one organized event during the day...oh wait there was lots of trivia!!!!

It isn't just Carnival...for the most part that's what we thought about this past RC cruise. We still had a great cruise...and we will most likely sail on them again. It's just that for us, the activities left much to be desired - doesn't mean that its like that all the time.

I was not aware they MADE people dance the electric slide and chicken dance, I mean I thought you had to be a willing party. Do they put a gun to your head :p;)

Anyway sorry you hated your cruise, do you think an all inclusive on land may be more for you????

hope you find your happy place, mines on a cruise ship, any cruise ship

We were on the Dream Jan 2- Jan 9 and found it to be a beautiful ship. The decor was not as bad as on most of the ships and I thought for the most part, it was the prettiest Carnival ship we have been on. We loved, loved, loved, loved the cove balcony and my husband had to have his daily reuben and ice cream fix. The service was nice but no one can touch the service and attention that you get while on the Legend!!!! It tends to spoil you! :)

While we enjoyed the ship immensely, I must say that we tend to agree with the OP about the entertainment. While we can't speak for her, we miss the smaller ships and all the activities that were constantly going on by the main pool on the lido deck. I remember sailway, DOD, and the steel drum band playing as everyone shuffled along to the, yes you guessed it, the Electric and the Cha Cha slide. Conga lines and scavenger hunts were the norm. The laser show and the movie screen are wonderful but from 5 pm until 9-10, other than the main shows, there is nothing, unless you are a gambler or a kid. The disco is full of children and karaoke doesn't crank up until much later. The majority of our time was spent at the Ocean Plaza enjoying the great band VooDoo. Afternoon activity is the same: Trivia is the same questions from prior cruises and the Newlywed-Not so Newlywed Game, which IS funny still has the same questions that they have had for years. We are easily entertained, but in saying so, I do see where the OP is coming from. We will definitely sail on the Dream again and have two upcoming cruises on Carnival. I don't think there is anything wrong with voicing your opinion or opposing views. It is my opinion that Carnival needs to revamp their activities and keep the adult and children's games seperate. :)

Well, I still can't figure out what the OP was expecting on the cruise and if she could entertain herself, why the complaint? But I think she's gone away now. As for me. I was on the same cruise, same boat, same ports and I never did find the time to do everything I hoped to do. I guess that's the blessing of a smaller ship, but it also leaves something new to experience the next cruise. Believe me the ship is a great ship and there are plenty of things to occupy your time including just relaxing and vegging out without worrying about the little nitty things of your everyday life.

We were on Dream Jan 2-9 and it was a great cruise. I thought the Motown show and the Dancing in the Streets show were wonderful. There seemed to be things to do during the day. We spent time in the casino during the sea days and as we walked though the deck 5 area, people were always in there doing things.

I don't know what kinds of things you like to do, but perhaps next cruise you can do more research to be sure there are things for you to do all the time. I know we listened to some good music and saw people dancing and enjoying themselves.

I guess I don't go on a cruise to feel that I need someone to entertain me. I am an adult who likes quiet time and sitting on my balcony, playing the slots, reading a book, going to the cooking demo at the steak house etc.

I can't wait until we go on Dream again. It's one of my favorite cruises and we have been on many, many cruises. To each his own.
