Did you notice your pic of Costa in the port is on the front page of CC. ===> Yes I did...thanks.

Great pic as usual ===> I'm not so sure..

Not one of my better shots (dull low-contrast lighting)

and I'm still wondering why they chose that shot

and what it has to do with 'Community'!?

I know you have taken much much better photos but its still a pretty good photo:D.

Like you I am not sure how it pertains to the "community" but at least it gets your pics out there and its always great to see a fellow countryman in the spotlight.:)

By the way....have you heard of any more of the short cruises in tie works?

No.

The jungle drums are unfortunately silent on that score.

Those short cruises that we Bajans enjoy come about because of leftover ship time

after hired-in cruise ships get used for dormitory purposes

when there are Big International Conferences and Sports Events held regionally.

We were real lucky last year 2009, in that 5th. Summit of the Americas

and the Commonwealth Heads of Government Conference

were both held in nearby Port of Spain Trinidad

and both Trinis and Bajans benefitted from mini-cruises after those happenings.

I know of no such Big Events regionally, in the near future

-even tried Google-ing for a schedule of Big International Conferences and suchlike(keywords)

but came up with zilch.

Bide thy time -and save thy shekels.;)

Yes...it is cricket:D.

The Twenty2O Cricket World Cup is here in October. ===> The Final is in Bim

So hopefully we will get one of those deals again. Will keep you informed

Suddenly, Keith, I'm starting to take an interest in cricket.

How strange! :)

I found this on the www. somewhere...

-----------------------------------------------------------

The islands of the West Indies invite you to experience Twenty20 cricket in a true Caribbean atmosphere!

Experience the excitement of the game as you mingle with friendly West Indians and fans from across the globe.

And when the cricket is done the fun has just begun!

After the matches head to a local restaurant or nightclub to celebrate or go bar hopping to enjoy true Caribbean culture (and rum!).

Bring the whole family for a Caribbean vacation for World Twenty 20.

While the cricket fanatics in the family enjoy the games, other family members and friends can take tours, visit attractions,

enjoy watersports and generally explore the countries!

The host countries are located just a short flight from each other

so plan to visit as many as possible as you follow your team through the tournament:

Group matches for the men's tournament are in
and
.

Super Eights are in
and
.

The semi-finals are in
and the final in
.

Group matches for the women's tournament are in
, with the semi-finals in
and final in
.

----------------------------------------------------

More research gyne on, as regards
dates
, becozzzz...

daz how we gyne know when a mini-cruise might happen.

You are right....it is April. Ain't know where I get October from:rolleyes:

Lets hope that we get more of the same as the last world cup. It has both men & women going on so they should be some need for extra accomodation. The finals are definitely in BIM. I can work with any of those dates
