Best drinks on RCCL ships?

Recommended Posts

It's half pina colada and half strawberry daiquiri.

Love Connection is the same but adds mango daiquiri to the mix.

Isn't that a Miami Vice (1/2 Pina and 1/2 Strawberry Daq)? I think a lava flow might have more to it (unless it is a uniquely named ship drink).

BTW-- love connection sounds amazing...

Anyone know the RCCL equivalency to a Kiss on the Lips?

I've had both Lava Flows and Miami Vices, and couldn't discern any real difference between the two. Perhaps there is a difference, but my taste buds couldn't tell them apart!

Edited to add - cool, my 1000th post. CC put up a little notice congratulating me on it lol

I asked last summer on Grandeur since I could tell they were slightly different but could not figure out why. According to the drink server in the theater (who served me each night :D) the Lava Flow has banana mixed with the coconut (pina colada) while the Miami Vice is just the Pina Colada mix. I don't know if he was telling the truth or not but it made sense.

I can't figure out how I missed the Love Connection - that sounds so good - but hey July is coming.

My favorite drink on any RCCL ship is the Yellow Bird. I just love them! Make friends with the server or the bar tender and ask for it to be made "heavy on the rum" These are so yummy that I got the recipe and I now make them at home.

One of the barmen on Majesty of the Seas made an awesome Mojito. Probably the best I've ever had.

Of course, the Johnny Walker Blue was my favorite, but I only ordered one. As I recall, it was reasonably priced (under $25?). I ended up buying a bottle at the duty free for $140 -- sounds expensive for one bottle of booze, but here in Michigan it's around $230.

Oh Yes... the Mango Tangos! How could I forget. They are super (and will give you major "Brain Freeze" if you are not careful...). But oh, so good!
