Fjordland Pk

We'll be crusing Fjordland Park on the Diamond on Feb.14 and are wondering about the best viewing area on the ship. We have a portside mini and viewing from the balcony would be convenient, but that only provides one side viewing and I don't know whether port is better side for this trip. Also, I've read on this board that it gets uncomfortably chilly on deck in this region -- would we need to take heavier cloths for this one day? thanx Royal65

The captain will be "spinning" the ship around while you are cruising the Fjordlands, so really either side is good for viewing. We were fortunately upgraded to an aft full suite, so we could see everything on either side.

We were there in April, and it was fairly warm. Would assume it will be warner in February than April.

When we went we went outside to the front of the ship so we could enjoy the views in all their splendor.

Yes, it was quite chilly, but the ship is not moving so fast that it was unbearable. But, yes, do bring warm clothers for this.
