Cape Souni-Is it worth the trip during daytime hours?

We are getting off of our cruise on July 2 and are flying home July 3. We are staying at a hotel on the coast and were thinking of going to Cape Sounin before we get dropped off at the hotel. I understand the sunsets are beautiful there but we are looking for something to do during the day. Have been in Athens and to Corinth and Myceane.

We actually enjoyed driving down the coast (from Athens) and stopping at a beach on our way to Sounion. As to Sounion, it does offer a nice view, but not much else.

Yes, Cape Sounion would still be worth a visit during the day and hit one of the nice beaches in the area. Another thought depending on how much time you have is a day trip to Delphi. This could be done in a day but it would be a long trip(wouldn't advise it if you have a 5AM flight). Some of the tours do this as a day trip or you could also do this on your own using the KTEL buses.
