MikeyToo Posted February 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 3, 2010 My fiacee and I are getting married aboard Golden Princess in June. I was wondering if anyone could explain what the policy is about canceling a reservation for an excursion if we decide we'd rather do something else instead? chrysalis Posted February 3, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 3, 2010 For most excursions, you can cancell up to 24 hours before the excursion with no costs
bhopal21 Posted February 3, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Usually as long as you cancel at least the day before it is no problem. I would make sure that I received a piece of paper reflecting that cancellation just in case. Mike:)
Coracii Posted February 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted February 3, 2010 And make sure you take a good look at the excursion list to ensure yours isn't one of the ones that need more advance notice for cancelling. I've seen some that need to be cancelled very early to avoid penalty.
D&N LUV 2 TRAVEL Posted February 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted February 3, 2010 All reservations you made through Princess will have individual tickets that will be in your room when you arrive. Go through those in detail to understand the cancellation polity because as the others have said they may not all be the same.
Colo Cruiser Posted February 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted February 3, 2010 Some are non refundable, just check the cancelation deadline posted onboard. Usually outside the excursion desk.
caribill Posted February 3, 2010 #7 Share Posted February 3, 2010 As long as you want to cancel before the deadline (there will be card with the excursion tickets listing the deadline for each port), you do not have to wait in what could be a long line at the Shore Excursion desk. You can write cancel on the tickets and drop them in the box at the shore excursion desk for this purpose. As mentioned, some cannot be cancelled, but these are few and are usually special ones such as an excursion from the tip of South America on a flight to Antarctica. The typical "see a city's attractions" excursion does not have a no-cancel allowed policy.
