There are only 2 of us and we have 4.

You will be fine (I am assuming you are driving to the port though so airline luggage fees aren't a concern)

Thanks!! Yes.....we are driving....... (my husband thinks I packed too much.....but I thought that I did good! lol)

It's a server glitch. If the clock on your computer doesn't jive with the clock on the board's server, it sometimes bumps a post ahead of the one it's responding to.

The cruise line won't say anything about too many bags, but if you're asking my opinion.... I think that one suitcase for each adult is reasonable, but how much stuff do a 4 and 7 year old need that you can't put both of them in 1 suitcase? And their stuff is smaller than adult clothing, so it shouldn't take up that much room. Personally, I would say for 2 adults and 2 small children, I would think 3 bags is enough, 5 means you packed way too much stuff. But the ship won't turn you away, they'll take all 5 suitcases.

As long as you don't have to worry about flying, which you say you don't, there isn't a limit on how many bags you can bring.

Only so many will fit under the bed, however, so that could be a concern. My husband and I usually bring 4 for the two of us. One regular suitcase each, one garment bag to share for our dinner clothes, and my carryon makeup/ haircare bag. Never been a problem for us.

This is what we brought on our cruise last year for me, hubby, and DD-3. This was BEFORE we picked up our friend, my mom, her wheelchair, and all THEIR bags! LOL!

We usually have 2 bags each as well. A BIG regular suitcase and a carry on each. The carry ons fit inside the big suitcases which does help with the under bed storage.

What size suitcases? 18 inch rollers- you are fine. 30 inch full blown cases? Way too much. The kids will, weather permitting, probably spend much of their time in a bathing suit and tee shirt. Especially if they have the longish ones that look like shorts. At that age our kids would pack in a regular school size backpack, including "stuff" (books, dinosaurs, game boys, etc) And I don't mean the mega sized backpacks.

I can assure you, you are waaaaaaaayyyyyy over packed. We made the same mistake our first cruise, product of Love Boat watching, and seeing characters in different outfits everytime you see them. Likely your boys will spend 75% of their time in swimsuits as well as you and spouse. For the dining room, 1 or 2 pairs of slacks for the man, and boys, and 3 polos or buttondowns, one pair of dress shoes, one suit one dress shirt couple of ties to change the look on elegant night.

Most other times you're in beachware on shorts and T-shirts. I would start over and you can probably do all this in 3 bags tops.

5 bags for 4 people is exactly what we needed for our cruise- PLUS we had a cooler- so I think you are fine. We were able to carry our own suitcases off the ship without hassel.

On a previous cruise, we took friends- the four of us with our luggage FILLED a HUMMER LIMO! DH and I had 4 bags and they had even more; it was ridiculous! I had a suitcase just for shoes :o
