sirwired Posted February 17, 2010 #26 Share Posted February 17, 2010 And you would not believe how many people were boarding in FLL with sweat pants and tee shirts as well as women in their 50's with ragged denim mini skirts. It looked like a Wal-Mart on a Saturday evening. Mike:) I might be upset if I saw this at dinner, but at embarkation, I don't expect people to be dressing up. If I'm gearing up for a long day of traveling, waiting in lines, and walking around in the heat, I go for comfort. Fellow pax sometimes do a lot of strange/inappropriate/embarassing things, but dressing for comfort during embarkation certainly isn't one of them. awhcruiser Posted February 17, 2010 #27 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I'm planning on wearing my bikini on embarkation day just in case my luggage doesn't arrive right away. :D Well the ship was beautiful and the staff terrific; but the extra 500 passengers were quite noticeable at times. Thanks You can't "pre" book it but you can pay for it ahead of time. Still have to set up a time once onboard.

nickels549 Posted September 17, 2010 #32 Share Posted September 17, 2010 Does anyone have pictures of the ultimate balcony breakfast? We are not big meat eaters and I'm afraid we wouldn't get the value out of the dinner, but we may enjoy breakfast instead! Thank you!

Island wannabe Posted October 6, 2010 #35 Share Posted October 6, 2010 What would you tip for the UBD and would the waiter have to put in in the kitty for all staff to share?
bjkTX Posted October 6, 2010 #36 Share Posted October 6, 2010 How do you pre-pay for it? I can't locate that....Thanks! The easiest way to pre-prder is simply call 1-800-princess and tell them you want to order the Ultimate Balcony Dinner (UBD) - you'll need your booking number. It will be charged to whatever charge card you have on your account. Once you get on board there will be a card waiting in your cabin and you will need to call (DINE) and schedule it for whatever evening you like - I'd do that as soon as you get on the ship! kymbakitty Posted October 6, 2010 #37 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Don't forget, this is one of those special ocassions where you want to be prepared to have cash on hand to tip. The service is that good....you'll probably end up tipping more than you thought. I read a post where someone completely forgot about getting cash for the tip and had to run down to the casino because they really wanted to tip the waiter. So we make sure we have cash ready for this event. Excellent service!!!! And definitely--above and beyond. Our anniversary is on Halloween and even though it might be a "special" night on board, we still decided the UBD would be perfect for our 19th wedding anniversary. It is a sea day so it will likely be formal. :)
