Zaandam

Today I had three back to back meetings in town. In town, on Oahu means Honolulu. As I negotiated my way through traffic, I spotted the Zandaam in port. I have never been on the ship but it did give me a warm fuzzy feeling of being on a cruise ship going to a new port and not having to deal with traffic and cars. for a few moments I took a deep breath and remembered my vacation brain.

Congratulations to Zaandam's Officers and Crew......... they just scored an outstanding *** 99 *** on USPH Inspection. Hope they had a great party to celebrate. Quite an accomplishment!

The Zaandam was my first (and favorite) HAL ship. I cruised over Christmas from Pt. Canaveral doing an Eastern itin. Waaaay back when! Beautiful ship! My cabin was huge! The ship was decorated for the Holidays, and it just took my breath away! Still have my hand-painted (by crew) Christmas Dutch hat! The Zaandam is exactly the right size for me!
