SSL Posted March 5, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2010 It's true. I was on board for a few days a few weeks ago, and the ship looks great. They were renovating a lifeboat when I was there -- they've done about a half dozen of them so far, and they look nice. Our cabin was beautiful -- new carpet, drapes, bed (one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept on!), wide-screen TV, etc., but still all of the original wood paneling, fixtures, etc. of the original room. The Main Lounge got new carpeting and drapes, the Promenade Cafe got a whole-new remodeling, and the new "Stacks" shop is incredible!! So far, so good -- I hope they continue though, there's still a lot that needs to be done. More than 5 Mil's worth. But they are definitely off to a good start. pumpkin 11 Posted March 6, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2010 Nice to hear that they are still caring for the QM1. Maybe they can do something similar for the QE2.
