GOHERD Posted April 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Is the olympic really worth the price on the Millennium
garykool81 Posted April 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2004 I've spoken with several people who have had the opportunity to eat in it. They've all said the Olympic was an excellent experience with superb food not to be missed. Personally, I think the atmosphere alone is enough to warrant the $$$ :-) Gary Kulash www.badelephant.com Carnival Holiday 8/02 NCL Majesty 1/03 NCL Norway 5/25/03 NCL Sea 7/03 Celebrity Galaxy 3/04 Celebrity Mercury 10/
wieslaw Posted April 15, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2004 We had dinner in that restaurant about 2 weeks ago and yes it was worth the $30 p/p. Wes
marco Posted April 15, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Yes.......and no......... I would agree that the atmosphere and the experience were well worth the $$$$$. The food was very good, but what they serve in the main restaurant "ain't too shabby, neither!" I would go for the experience more so than for the food. cruise pup Posted April 15, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Definately worth the price. That goat cheese souffle is amazing. The service is like nothing I've seen before. Plates being set down at the table in unison, kinda reminded me of the "Waiters Gallop" in "Hello, Dolly!". Just avoid the cheese trolley. Pee U! MSBYRDY Posted April 15, 2004 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2004 Well worth it, we went twice during our Med cruise last summer and would have gone more if we could have gotten in. Marilyn

Faygelah Posted April 17, 2004 #9 Share Posted April 17, 2004 We went twice on our cruise last year. It was a wonderful, more intimate experience than the main dining room. well worth the money.
lookingforward Posted April 17, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 17, 2004 We ate there last month and it was wonderful. I truly think it is worth every penny. The service is five star, the food is great and it is a beautiful space. Very romantic and relaxing. Can't wait to do it again. The goat cheese souffle was my favorite. And the dessert sampler. HollyB Posted April 18, 2004 #11 Share Posted April 18, 2004 I agree with Marco. If you have ever dined in a Michelin starred Restaurant, then this is comparable to dining in the Olympic however, the food is, dare I say it, good but not as good as the all round experience. Goats cheese souffle..yep..its great! I thought my Diane Sauce was not as good as I could make myself, the steak dried out due to pre cooking in the kitchen, and all in all, food was every bit as good if not better in the main dining room. HOWEVER...I would not even think about the question of money, to receive that kind of service in any restaurant, makes it worth every penny. It is a lovely restaurant and the ambience alone makes it worth dining there! I think I'd pay the 25$ alone just for the escort to the ladies!
