Dawn spa/pool questions

The last time I sailed on the Dawn a few years ago the spa/pool area was free. I know you need to get a spa pass now.

 

Can you still use the showers/sauna for free?

 

Can you use the spa pool area if you get a spa treatment? For how long?All day?

At one time we were told the spa treatments included a one day pass. More recently we were told you could use the spa area for an hour before your treatment, but not after the treatment. When we were on the Dawn in January I didn't ask, so I'm not sure what they are doing now.

That hasn't been true for a number of years...unless for some reason they operate the Dawn's spa differently than the others.

Its sad that the pool/spa area went from a free hidden gem to something they nickel and dime on.

 

I hope I can use the area for more than an hour with a spa treatment as they are not cheap.

If you buy a spa pass for five days, do you have to use the pass on five consecutive days or can you choose any of the days on the cruise?

They don't sell the pass for a given number of days. They either sell a pass for the entire cruise, and then if there are any openings left they will sell daily passes. As I understand it, If they sell out of passes for the entire cruise then they do not sell daily passes.

It would be even more helpful if it was correct...but what else can we expect from NCL's customer service staff. :rolleyes:

 

All the listed facilities are not available on all ships...for example the Dawn doesn't have heated tile lounges. The price of the 7 day pass is also not accurate...typically it's $99, sometimes, but not always there is a discounted (less than twice $99) couple's pass, and I've seen the prices vary somewhat from ship to ship and itinerary to itinerary.
