CB Dining Rooms Names?

On the Princess site for the CB they refer to the MDRs by different names (Botticelli & De Vinci) (Island & Coral) and someone mentioned Palm. Have they changed the names?

Where would they be located if new names (deck outline shows Botticelli & De Vinci). Is the Palm a sit down or buffet?

What is the Cafe Caribe?

Any clarification would be greatly appreciated - thank you.

They have not changed.

The Palm would be traditional deck 6 aft.

Anytime Coral/Island deck 5/6 midship.

Is this where you're looking? http://www.princess.com/learn/ships/cb/deck_plans/index.html It shows the Palm in one view, but I can't get it to show in the other view. They're having problems with this visual, I guess.

Cafe Caribe is another buffet, behind the Horizon Court, and is open at times for breakfast (but fewer choices than Horizon Court) and is open for dinner. I found it to be crowded (because of its layout more than the number of people eating there) and inconvenient to get through. Appetizers are at one end, salads at the other, and you are supposed to exit in the middle. It was a cramped space...the carving station is opposite most of the desserts, but there isn't really room for people to be doing both. And the bread area...it's an L-shape, well, actually U-shape when you add the butter area, so pretty much only one person at a time can access the 10 baskets of rolls, even though it's probably 4-5 linear feet of space. Caribe Cafe space definitely seems like it was an afterthought.

When we were on the ship, before the retrofit, the Palm and one of the mid-ship dining rooms were anytime, and the other mid-ship was traditional. The line was much shorter at the Palm, being tucked away aft.

The Cafe Caribe was where the theme meals were. Mexican one night, Asian another, and so on. This was also the all night buffet area, with Horizon Court closed. We also had breakfast here every day, since it was close to the Terrace Pool and our aft Riviera cabin location. We enjoyed sitting out on that deck for breakfast.

I think the waffles at Scoops are waffle cones, not breakfast waffles. It's been 2 years, but Horizon Court wasn't open 24 hours. They closed at night, and Cafe Caribe was open. Between the 2, there was always something open 24 hours though. Usually Cafe Caribe was open for lunch, but it was more limited hours, then it closed again to prepare for the theme dinners.

Yes.. we were sad to find out about this change.

Palm also used to have many tables for two, which we wanted.

It was kind of strange that they set it up as anytime in the first place.

The deck 6 aft DR on all other ships had always been traditional.

Horizon Court is not 24 hour on the CB. It is not open for dinner, unless you eat before 5:30 (and then they call it "light snack", but I would have been happy with those choices for dinner.

I see Scoops still says nominal charge...there is no charge. I had read there was waffles and intended to have them, but never got out there in the morning.
