Cot in a 1A

We are possibly cruising in November with a friend and her daughter. We plan on booking an inside for the kids and a balcony for the adults. I know we would have to book a 4 person cabin for the balcony if we wanted to book the 1A for the kids. Does anyone know if they will allow a cot to be placed in the 1A, since my friend's daughter would most likely stay with my step kids in that room?

You don't say which ship...I think it's possible that if you are on a ship built after 2000 they will not add beds to a cabin that is not meant for that many passengers. Those ships do not have rollaways.

I dont know that they will make up 3 beds. They have a few times brought in a rollaway because someone couldnt do the upper bunk bed.

You say it is so someone can stay with your kids ... I very much doubt the cabin steward will be willing to make up a 3rd bed for a cabin whose occupancy is 2, unless you tip very well ... money talks they say??
