ChipVA Posted April 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 1, 2010 Does anyone have any advice on good cabin numbers for the Celebrity Summit Ship? I am looking at rooms on Penthouse Deck and curious if the supports for the life boats block the views? Any advice would be appreciated, or a close up photo of balconies on the elevator side of the ship. Thanks in advance for your help!
Rare vickykay Posted April 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 1, 2010 We were recently in 6144 - great CC cabin with very large balcony.
kitkat9438 Posted April 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2010 Here you go. The best on the list if you just want a regular balcony cabin are the 2C's listed below which are "sweet 16" cabins, meaning the front cabins on each side of the ship which have a much larger balcony than the other cabins. This list has been circulated on the boards a lot. Good luck finding the cabin you want. Each of the following cabins on the Millennium Class ships (Millennium, Infinity, Constellation, Summit) has some particular benefit over its peers of the same class -- most often an oversized veranda, sometimes larger cabin or nicer decor. Not all of these differences are accurately reflected in any known deck plans. SS-6131,6132,6145,6146 CC-9043,9038,9201,9164,9162,9160 CC-8045,8046,8185,8176,8172,8170 CC-7203,7212,7208,7206 CC-6135,6136,6143,6144 2A-8161,8146,9173,9138 2B-7049,7080,7163,7166,7171,7173,7175,7177,7174,7176, 7178,7180 2C- 6016,6018,6020,6021,6022,6023,6024,6025,6026,6027, 6029,6030,6031,6033,6035,6053,6048 Since the Infinity, Constellation, Millenium & Summit are all the same configuration, these cabins will apply to your cruise. adelphi_sky Posted April 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2010 I think the OP would also like to know rooms with unobstructed views and not just ones with the largest balconies. :) While nice, the rooms with the largest balconies are usually gone before people can book them thanks to this site. I've read where some rooms may have cleaning equipment in front of them, and one level that will have part of the sky blocked because of the overhang of balconies above. Wine-O Posted April 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2010 Look at the Sweet 16 - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=19698018&postcount=13 They are the most forward balcony cabins on that deck with extra large balconies -- 8 on the port side, and 8 on the starboard side. As you can see from the photo, they are not obstructed, and they are 2C cabins.
kitkat9438 Posted April 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2010 That's a great picture and it's worth a thousand words. All you have to do is plug in the cabin numbers for those desirable cabins for your sail date to see if they are available on Celebrity's website. ChipVA Posted April 2, 2010 Author #7 Share Posted April 2, 2010 I was looking at rooms on the back of the ship C2 Class, but now might change my mind. Great photo. I wish each ship had photos like that.
