Weather in June/Kids

We are thinking about doing a cruise in June and would like to know how the weather is that time of year?

Also is there a lot of kids that time of year?

The PG has a wonderful children's program and the number of children can vary from 3-4 to 66!! Ask your TA to inquiry about the number of children if that is a consideration.

You might want to find out if Estelle Davies is on board. She works for the Ocean Futures Society, is a Naturalist (Briish National, Cypriot born and lives in Hong Kong)

June is mid-winter! The air temperature drops to a frigid 80F (and the water temp to a frigid 79F). The humidity is a little lower than in January and the bugs seem a little less of an issue. We have been three times in late June to early July and once over New Years. It was hot at New Years.

We did the PG once in early June, the weather was great. Remember you are in the southern hemisphere so that is winter and suposedly dryer and more moderate. It seemed about the same everytime we went and we have done all four seasons. We never had more than a few young people on board on any of our trips. This cruise is really not a kids cruise unless the young person is really into snorkeling or scuba, imho.

Best time for weather is our summer/their winter. Most regions in the world at that latitude (17 degrees) have summer wet/winter dry seasons. Similar to Caribbean in December/January.

June is a great time of year weather-wise, and if it`s early June you`ll be less likely to have kids from the US on board.
