djneph Posted April 7, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 7, 2010 During the opening scenes of tonights episode of V on ABC there was a Celebrity ship in the Sydney harbour? Any ideas which ship it might be? Anyone else see that?

txsloth Posted April 7, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 7, 2010 It is the Millennium. Yeah, looked again--definitely an M-Class ship.
Karynanne Posted April 7, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2010 It had to be either Mercury or Millennium. Mercury had it's last cruise there in Feb. 2008, so it's probably the Millie.
RickT Posted April 8, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 8, 2010 Does anyone have a picture they can post? My friend was on the Millennium in Sydney in 2008 and she'd love a picture. I googled it but nothing came up.

It looked pretty cool on TV to see the ship docked near the Opera House and the Alien ship in the skyline.
Karynanne Posted April 10, 2010 #11 Share Posted April 10, 2010 The ship was docked at the foot of Sydney Bridge, with the Opera House right across the harbor. It's a spectacular port.
H2Oregon Posted April 11, 2010 #12 Share Posted April 11, 2010 One has to wonder if X had to pay ABC for the product placement add.
chessbriar Posted April 11, 2010 #13 Share Posted April 11, 2010 One has to wonder if X had to pay ABC for the product placement add. I'm sure they did. Anymore, any product placement is paid for.
hajekfam Posted April 11, 2010 #14 Share Posted April 11, 2010 It looks like the Millennium - you can see the glass elevators mid ship- I think that was a feature on only the M-class ships not on the Mercury or Century.
shipfriend_max Posted April 11, 2010 #15 Share Posted April 11, 2010 In 2011 and 2012 I think the Millennium and Century will visit Australia and New Zealand. http://www.portofmelbourne.com/cruiseshipping/cruiseschedule_3.asp#2012-

nealstuber Posted April 11, 2010 #17 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Here's a screen capture from the show. To see this scene as it appeared in the show go to hulu.com and you can watch the entire episode, or just the part with the ship in it. It's about 30 seconds into the episode, after the 'previously' scenes. Here's the link: We were watching this as a family the other night and DD (10) exclaimed - That's our ship! That's our ship! She was pretty close, the elevators make it pretty clear that its an M Class vessel - Checked the recent sailing history and the only M class to call on Sydney was M. We chuckled that we saw "X on V" and got more excited ubout our upcomming Summit Cruise. :)
