AAAAmerican Posted April 10, 2010 #26 Share Posted April 10, 2010 On a drink suggestion.. But first do youall know how General then President George Washington made his own monies ? Not the ones... from his wife Martha Custis... Besides raising SHAD, as that fish in fresh water has what we now call caviar. Yepp Fish Eggs. They still have a SHAD Planking in Virginia. He as well at his time founding the best Country in the world had the largest Distillery. But alas that went out of business. Do you all know Americas Oldest Distilled ? It is Virginia Gentleman. An American Bourbon Whiskey. Try that straight up! It sips so well, on or off a ship.... ;
SwingChickie Posted April 10, 2010 #27 Share Posted April 10, 2010 it sounds like you're on the cruise we'll be on this coming week! my favorite thing to order while i'm sitting by the pool is a rum punch -- refreshing, fruity, strong, and doesn't fill you up like a frozen drink does. in the evenings when we're in one of the bars, i like to sip on a mixture of amaretto, cranberry juice, and club soda. it's delicious. don't know if it has a name, i came up with it a couple of years ago on one of our cruises and it's become one of my favorites. hotzej Posted April 10, 2010 #28 Share Posted April 10, 2010 We were on the Azamara Journey two years ago and they had Hendrick Gin. Made from Cucumbers....What a wonderful Martini. They serve it with a stick of peeled cucumber. Can anyone tell me if that brand of Gin is available on the Century... Thank you...
Jaycue52 Posted April 13, 2010 #29 Share Posted April 13, 2010 What type of drink are you looking for? They have alot of choices inthe Martini Bar:D...want to try a dessert drink? The Chocolate Martini is YUMMY:D If you want to try and adult coffee? The Aspen is one of my alltime favorites:) It is a 1/3 Kahluah, 1/3 Baileys, 1/3 Frangelica served in a stemmed glass and the coffee is poured on top of those the 3..with cream on top....it is fabulous:) You might want to check out the full menu in the Martini Bar...they have some decatant, delicious, flavors!:D Oh, on a hot day in the Caribbean? A Mudslide is yummy too! Hold the coffee, and you have a Nutty Irishman. Great over crushed ice!:p
Rick-n-Lisa Posted April 13, 2010 #30 Share Posted April 13, 2010 I had several Frozen Bellini's or Peach Bellini's last week as I had the frozen drink pkg. I can only drink so many coladas, mudslides, etc as they are so filling. The Bellini's were great because they were light and not too sweet or filling. Champagne, a bit of Gran Marnier and Peach puree swirled in a blender with ice. YUMMY!!!

librarylady19 Posted April 14, 2010 #35 Share Posted April 14, 2010 Try a Mojito, a rum drink with fresh mint. Fantasitc by-the-pool drink. If you like the tonic drinks, I bet you'll love the Mojito. Denny I usuallly love mojitos but on X they make them with dark rum which was not pleasant tasting imo. I really liked the frozen mango drink special on Century (think they were daiquiris). They went down very easily!
