We have a group of 11 sailing 4/29 on Miracle, between all of us we have about $1800 OBC from booking ES.

Our one couple who has the most OBC $800 has never spent that much on prior cruises. My ? is what will happen to their remainder of OBC if they dont spend all of it??

I wont have to worry about that problem:D

If they really don't expect to spend that much they could always go to the cage for the casino and get it out as cash on the last day I believe. I'm sure someone here will have experience in this and could offer up any advice on how to do it. I know when we had our first cruise we had a big amount and found out on the last day it wasn't refundable. DW had NO problem using it up with photos and gift shop stuff. I had read about depositing it into an ocean player club account and then withdrawling it. I haven't tried it yet, but if my cruise price keeps falling I may have to!

Early Saver OBC is stated as non-refundable; it's not clear that they keep (good) track of this aboard ship, though. ken

I talked to the pursers desk about this last time. I was told they always pull from price drop OBC first before they pull from cash put on or funship dollars. Also that she has never seen a case where even ES OBC wasn't refunded. Now that is only one employee but she assured me it wasn't going to get kept if we didn't use it and it was totally refundable. Her response was something like that is a refund of the money that we already paid, of course we'd get it back.

Anyways I still closed out the night before just to be safe, they refunded everything left on the account and I know a little was still OBC from our ES drops.

If you want you can go to the casino and set up a players account on a slot machine (instructions are on the machine or the staff is really friendly and can walk you through it). Transfer money left to your players account take one big spin (not required but you know you want to :p ) then go to the cashiers cage and tell them you want to cash out your players account. Viola you have all your money with no worries.

I think there may be a daily limit to how much you can transfer, not 100% sure on that. If you have a huge amount left, might want to transfer some a couple days before and cash it out so you don't have too much to transfer. You don't have to wait until the end. You can always put money back on the account if needed.
