shoegal24 Posted April 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Is it true that you can cancel a Celebrity cruise up to 90 days without ANY penalty or cancellation fee? Is there a catch?
Sue L Posted April 11, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 11, 2010 If you are in the US and it is not a holiday sailing then you can cancel up to 70 days before for a full refund of your deposit. If you booked through a TA you have to verify with them whether they have a cancellation fee or not.
AAAAmerican Posted April 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 11, 2010 It may be true now for the Cruise Line. But as other Lines are doing there is a $50.00 FEE coming too. Buyer Beware. Read everything fully. If you do not understand the Contract Verbage get someone who does to help you. Rare Lois R Posted April 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 11, 2010 Is it true that you can cancel a Celebrity cruise up to 90 days without ANY penalty or cancellation fee? Is there a catch? Hi, if you book directly through the Cruiseline final payment is due 70 days prior to sailing so if you cancel before then? No penalty. (In the USA). I think Europe works differently. If you book your cruise through a Travel Agency you need to ask them about their policy. Some TA's charge a cancellation fee while others don't. omeinv Posted April 12, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 12, 2010 Azamara just announced it, and apparently some of the high-end lines do this as well. There was a Cruise Critic article on it the other day. That article mentioned it is supposedly NOT being considered for Celebrity or RC.
