What was your favorite part? Any food "must do's"? What room did you book? Did you do any exursions that you can recommend?

Thanks! :-)

We're booked on a Western Caribbean in July on the Solstice and have done 2 other cruises, one on RCCL's Mariner and the other on one Norwegians small cruise ships in the late 80's.

What type of tours are offered on board? Are they only for AQ passengers? I'd love to tour the galley.

After the evening show (we're booked early dinner), what's there to do besides the clubs and casino?

Do you know if you can get non-alcoholic smoothies with the frozen drink card?

Cost for anything like bingo?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, especially about the ports and excursions but I know you were on the Eastern.

Thanks! I hope your vacation glow lasts!

LIKES

++The food was great... especially the buffet.. being vegas folks I'm quite picky with buffet type food. The food area was always kept clean and they were very mindful of keeping the selections fresh and clean.

++The computer/tv set-up in the room was great. You could order room service off the tv and we always got our selections hot and fresh.. the burgers were excellent and so were the sesame wings. You were also able to view most of your photos online. We asked one of the photo people how they were able to determine which photos belonged to who.... she says they use facial recognition software... amazing.... and kinda freaky!

++ Staff was very friendly and accomadating We were always greeted respectfully

Hi, Gail -

We are booked on the Eastern Carribean Solstice May 30. We have been on the Equinox, so I KNOW how wonderful this is going to be!! My questions are about shore excursions. Can you give me any advice on things you enjoyed at the various ports, or things other cruisers were saying they enjoyed? We are a party of 6 - grandparents, parents and grandchildren (girls, almost 5 and almost 4). We are not typical grandparents and are up for just about anything (physically and from a cost perspective), and we usually do private tours but are not adverse to ship's tours. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!:):)

Do they still have the buffet in the dinning room on one sea day. They had it last year, and it was fantastic. It was only on 1 day, lots of food choices at different stations.

Also, I have a balcony room. Do they still give you nice shampoo and conditioners?

Went on this cruise last year, and am going next week, just wondering if they have made little changes.

I'd love to hear more! We're booked on Solstice 10/17 Eastern Caribbean. I'm not so interested in ports as the ship itself. How did you like it? What cabin category did you have? Deck? Can you tell us more about the ship's design/layout/decor?

Did you eat in the main dining room at dinner? Early? Late? How was it? Were the pools crowded? How was the space ratio in general?

Staff? Service? Anything you can remember about the ship ... I'm aching for info!:)

Does the main dining room have large windows to look out of while dining (if you're lucky enough to have a table nearby)? During our last cruise on RCI's Mariner we were lucky enough to be in an adjoining dining room with a table right next to a full length window. Watching the sea was so relaxing during dinner!
