Prof 100 Posted May 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 1, 2010 Please help! I wrote down the product that many of you recommended for removing wrinkles, but I can't find the paper it was on. It was a popular brand name...some kind of sheets to use? Also, do you find these products better than, say, a steamer? We just checked out steamers, and they seem just a bit bulky to travel with. willing292 Posted May 1, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 1, 2010 try packing your clothes in plastic dry cleaners bags, it works for me.
cruisenfever Posted May 1, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2010 try packing your clothes in plastic dry cleaners bags, it works for me. Absolutely agree on the dry cleaner bags. Downy Wrinkle Release works well, but it can stain certain fabrics.
Bakincakes Posted May 1, 2010 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I roll ours with tissue paper...hardly any wrinkles. Those wrinkles I get I either send out to be steamed/pressed or hang them in the bathroom with some hot steam...
MrPete Posted May 1, 2010 #6 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I just throw my wrinkled things in my luggage, and send them out for pressing once I board.
Shak Posted May 1, 2010 #7 Share Posted May 1, 2010 Packing correctly has much to do with how wrinkled your clothing gets. Taking clothing that is resistant to wrinkling helps as well. For minor wrinkling I hang those items in the bathroom while I am showering and the steam and humidity from the shower works well for me at removing wrinkles. Rare EngIceDave Posted May 1, 2010 #9 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I just throw my wrinkled things in my luggage, and send them out for pressing once I board. That's my plan Do you give it to them on hangers or no? Is it returned on hangers?
SherriZ366 Posted May 1, 2010 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I've had good luck with Downy Wrinkle Release. I don't think I have had any staining but mostly use it on cotton knits like tea shirts, shorts, polos etc. I have never used it on silk. The cleaner bags work real well also. The only things that got wrinkled were some of my cotton blouses/tops and from now on, I will bring them wrinkled and get them pressed. It is only $2 per blouse. CruisinManiac Posted May 1, 2010 #11 Share Posted May 1, 2010 Along with using the plastic shirt bags, I prefer using the following aerosol product. No splotches (staining) on fabric like I would get with Downy spray. Plus, I love the fragrance! http://www.agelong.com/Magic-Wrinkle-Remover-p/38201.htm
LBumb Posted May 1, 2010 #12 Share Posted May 1, 2010 no worries, no one sees wrinkles except the person wearing the clothes.

Happy ks Posted May 1, 2010 #15 Share Posted May 1, 2010 I very much prefer the Magic product over the Downey product. Not only do you not run the risk of any spills since it is an aerosol, the product doesn't have as strong a scent.
bassspanker Posted May 1, 2010 #16 Share Posted May 1, 2010 Steamers are allowed, aren't they? We have a small travel steamer that usually works great on vacation. I was planning on bringing it on our upcoming cruise.

bonniecharlie Posted May 2, 2010 #19 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Hi never mind wrinkles in clothes, I would like something for my face, if I get any more I will have to wrap my face in tissue paper also, and only 8 weeks to sort this out ( ouch )
smagni Posted May 2, 2010 #20 Share Posted May 2, 2010 Hi I must admit wondering how we were going to get out the wrinkles of our (entire wardrobe full of) clothes that we seem to be taking along on this cruise. And as ever there is a question on here on the very subject. Just found this article that seems very interesting, apparently a spray bottle filled with a few cap fulls of fabric softener or one of those dryer sheets then topped up with water. Spray on the wrinkly bits and hang to release. Think I will give it a test run before we go, hope it helps. http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf201154.tip.html Just need to find a similar article for the ones on my face now! :)
